After climbing the stairs, I saw the inside of the stadium for the first time … what a place! Your eyes are immediately drawn to the southern position behind the lens: a single 17,000 seat level going up and up. United fans would have been on the other side – how we missed their incredible unconditional support.
The lower level of the stadium is dressed in Spurs banners and flags. There are Zoom screens at both ends that show the faces of the few lucky Tottenham fans who can feel part of the cold, clinical event. The staff at the North London club went out of their way to try to mitigate the lack of crowds, but there is simply no substitute for people.
