Saelemaekers helps AC Milan to a late victory against AS Roma

AC Milan has done an excellent job in the battle for a European ticket. After all, it booked an important victory in San Siro against the higher ranked AS Roma. With Saelemaekers as a substitute for 35 minutes between the lines, the Rossoneri won 2-0 against the Romans thanks to two goals in the final quarter.

So it took a long time before they could make a difference at Milan, but Saelemaekers did have his part in that. Our compatriot had a foot in the 1-0. He brought a distant ball from Paqueta again in front of the goal, where Kessié first met Mirante. However, the ball ended up at the feet of Rebic who did get the ball against the nets in two times. In the penultimate minute, Calhanoglu made it 2-0 from the spot.

Thanks to the victory, Milan jumps to seventh place in the rankings, which in principle will be good for a ticket for the Europa League. Parma can still come next to them, but then they will have to knock Internazionale on Sunday evening.
