Scottish FA President Rod Petrie has temporarily resigned from his post for health reasons with immediate effect.
On the advice of medical personnel, Petrie will need a period of rest from work, and Mike Mulraney, the current vice president, will take over the role of president in the meantime.
Mulraney said: “On behalf of the Scottish FA Board, our people and Scottish football as a whole, I would like to wish Rod a speedy recovery.
“Rod was a pillar of the club’s strength during this COVID-19 pandemic and for me as Vice President. Now it’s our turn to help Rod recover.
“We look forward to seeing him well soon, but in the meantime I will work closely with our managing director Ian Maxwell to continue driving Scottish football through the uncertainty caused by COVID-19.”
“I would ask everyone to respect Rod’s request for privacy during their recovery period.”
