QB rankings before the 2020 Elite 11 final

Monday should be a welcome sight for college soccer fans across the country – the competition is back.

The Elite 11, arguably the most prestigious national quarterback competition for high school talent, returns in Nashville, Tennessee with its 2020 event from Monday through Wednesday afternoon. Some of America’s best passers-by are expected to travel and fight for the coveted Elite 11 MVP crown.

While these list numbers change considering they are on the same field under the same conditions, the ranking of expected participants from SI All-American among the expected participants at the front end of the event is as follows.

1. Caleb Williams – Gonzaga College HS in Washington (DC)

Physically gifted athlete with dynamic arm talent and ability to walk. On July 4th between Maryland, LSU and Oklahoma.

2nd Brock Vanda handle – Bogart (Ga.) Prince Avenue Christian

High-floor passer-by with great mechanics and athletics on a great frame. Georgia committed.

3rd JJ McCarthy – Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy

A balanced, stable passer-by who brings the potential of large arms to all three levels. Michigan committed.

4th Tyler Buchner – La Jolla (California) Helix

Ultra-productive passer-by and runner with dynamic functions. Notre Dame committed.

5. Drake Maye – Charlotte (NC) Myers Park

Large, physical passport view with a large arm and plus sportiness. Engaged in North Carolina.

6. Kyle McCord – Philadelphia (Pa.) St. Joseph’s Prep

Mature passer-by with a domed ball and smooth release point. Committed to the state of Ohio.

7. Miller Moss – Santa Ana (California) Mater Dei

Sharp leader who can work efficiently and accurately on all three levels. USC committed.

8th. Dematrius Davis – North Houston, Texas Coast

Head-turning runner who, as a passer, pushes the ball well across the field. Auburn commits.

9. Kaidon Salter – Cedar Hill, Texas

Constant pocket register with wheels to threaten the defense with his legs. Tennessee committed.

10th Garrett Nussmeier – Blumenhügel (Texas) Marcus

The coach’s son with a high IQ and gunslinger mentality is above average athletic. The LSU commits.

11. Christian Veilleux – Potomac (Md.) The Bullis School

Easy release with polish in vertical play and good basic sportiness. Committed to the State of Penn.

12th Luke Altmyer – Starkville (Miss.)

Productive ball distributor who took a big step forward as a junior. Committed to the state of Florida.

13. Ty Thompson – Gilbert (Ariz.) Mesquite

A bit raw mechanically, but all about its tools and intangible assets. Double threat with a large arm and a long frame that continues to fill. Committed to Oregon.

14. Carlos Del Rio – Loganville (Ga.) Grayson

One of the group’s best-known quarterbacks that make it easy for impressive throws to look off-platform. Florida committed.

fifteen. Maddox Kopp – Houston (Texas) St. Thomas

Recently football was taken seriously after playing AAU basketball since fourth grade. Strong arm and impressive anticipation for this information. Large frame that has space to fill out. Not committed.

16. Grayson James – Plano (Texas) John Paul II

Helped transform his program into a state master. Ready-to-play frame with experience with various pass patterns and solid arm strength. Not committed.

17th Honor Morton – Eastland, Texas

Ideal spread system quarterback with active feet to roll out and navigate in your pocket. Ball slides from his hand. The speed could improve. Texas Tech is committed.

18th Kyron drones – Pearland (Texas) Shadow Creek

Plays with great deep arm strength and dodges the pressure well, but looks for more and better anticipation in the lower game. Baylor commits.

19th Tyler Macon – East St. Louis (Fig.)

Strong, under-sized playmaker, but promising as a passer-by. Delivers strikes in narrow windows and is accurate outside the numbers. Missouri commits.

20. Jay Allen – Fort Pierce (Fla.) John Carroll

Florida Baseball Commit, who flicks a solid deep ball and is sporty, but has to clean up his throwing mechanics to appear as a quarterback on the next level.
