Manchester United reached the FA Cup semi-final on Saturday night with a late Harry Maguire winner against Norwich.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side have met Chelsea in their last four games at Wembley to end a three-year trophy drought.
And they are only two games away from their “core goal”, which was set by Deputy Chairman Ed Woodward when he commissioned Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Woodward has regularly discussed the main features of Solskjaer’s vision at United, including the attack on football and the opportunity for young players.
However, winning trophies is crucial for Manchester United.

“Ole’s vision is exactly the three most important soccer goals we have,” said Woodward in October 2019.
“We have to win trophies, we have to play offensive football and we have to give the youth their chance.”

But Woodward again emphasized in his last conference call with investors last month that trophies are a top priority as the FA Cup is now included in their vision.
“As I said, and I’ve said that many times, we’re still committed to helping Ole win trophies. That is our primary goal as a club,” said Woodward.

After her victory in Norwich, Solskjaer spoke about the importance of silverware and said: “We are in the semi-finals and are happy about it.
“Last year we reached the quarter-finals and lost to Wolves. Now we are at least in the semi-finals in Wembley.
“It is important for this team to win the first cup or to reach the first final together. That will help the winning culture because we have to start winning things.”
