Brisbane’s great Ben Ikin says Broncos’ current squad is “ineffective” and has called the club’s list management “disgusting” for several years.
The Red Hill team have now lost five trot games and fell to a new low in round 7 against NRL basement dweller Gold Coast.
Every man and his dog queue up to point out the problems with trainer Anthony Seibold and his troops.
But Ikin says the biggest problem has accumulated over several seasons and is now festering in the four walls of the Broncos headquarters.
“The list management at the Brisbane Broncos was disgusting. Disgusting, ”Ikin said to NRL 360.

TEAM TIPS: Stubborn broncos stick to the fighting halves of the teen star
“There’s no way around it. The 30-man squad they put together is ineffective and out of balance.
“There is a general manager of football in Peter Nolan who worked with Wayne Bennett. Paul White allegedly made the Darius Boyd deal, Anthony Seibold made some decisions.
“So I would say that you are less attached to one person … the system is broken.
“This 30-man squad is so twisted and out of balance that they have reached the point where they were beaten by the last placed titans, and not in close competition.”
Veteran Boyd earns approximately $ 800,000, but has committed to retire later this year.
Fighting round of 16 Anthony Milford earns more than $ 1 million, while Jack Bird has hardly played a game for the club, but will also chew about $ 1 million at the salary limit next season.
It comes as Brisbane struggles to hold on to young striker David Fifita, who is poached by the Titans in one move, which would surely embarrass the Broncos.
