The controversial surface at BankWest Stadium is set back on grass this week after a flood of high-profile injuries was sustained in round seven of the NRL.
Roosters Victor Radley and Sam Verrills, Eels playmaker Mitchell Moses, Canberra striker Corey Horsburgh and Bulldogs full-back Will Hopoate were seriously injured over the weekend.
Venues Live has since made a decision to shave the venue, although some Parramatta players claimed they had no surface problems.
The surface should race again in the coming weeks, but after an independent inspection commissioned by NRL by lawn experts on Saturday evening, the decision was made to speed up the move.

The decision is also made after the venue has played 11 NRL games in 22 days and another triple header is to be played.
The eels will line up the cowboys on Friday night in round 8 before the tigers play against the panthers in the same location on Saturday, and the bulldogs against South Sydney on Sunday.
Roosters Lock Radley and Hooker Verrills both suffered ACL injuries, while Eels playmaker Moses has a torn calf.
Raiders rookie Firebrand Corey Horsburgh will miss the next 12 weeks with a Lisfrancs foot injury, while Hopoate is expected to be out for six to eight weeks due to a syndesmosis injury.
The new lawn is grown on a farm in western Sydney and is “lay and game quality”, which means that the venue is immediately prepared to host NRL games.
