Barcelona’s leader Nikola Mirotičs has been recognized as the most valuable player in this season’s strongest basketball championship (ACB) in Spain, according to coaches, the media and the basketball players themselves, which can be read on the league’s website on Saturday.
Coaches, the media and the basketball players playing in the league evaluated the athletes’ performance during the regular season, as well as in some of the playoffs taking place in Valencia.

The players could get a maximum of 100 points in the vote, with Mirotich receiving 90. Faku Kampaco of Real Madrid came in second with 65 points, while George Sherermadini of Tenerife’s Iberostar took 25 points.
Born in Montenegro, Mirotičs won the league’s most valuable player award for the first time in 2013, when he played for the capital’s team “Real”.
The basketball player averaged 19.5 points per game in the local championship this season, won 5.7 rebounds and scored 1.5 times. In the regular season, his efficiency ratio of 24.5 was the best in the league. The average of 20 points was the third best indicator.
In the final phase of the season, Mirotičs scored an average of 16 points in three games for the Barcelona team, won five balls under the baskets, as well as scored 2.3 times, accumulating 20 efficiency coefficient points.

The ACB season ended after the March 8 games and the champion is determined in Valencia in a 12-team mini-tournament that started last week.
