The midfielder Matías Pisano, who knew that he was not going to continue with América de Cali due to the economic crisis caused by the Covid-19, published this Friday a video and an emotional message thanking him for his experience wearing the scarlet shirt.

Pisano arrived in America in mid-2019 and became a key man for the team, then led by Alexandre Guimaraes, to achieve the 14th star last December.

“Today I have to close a stage that I will never forget in my professional and human career. That is why I wanted to share this little video with a little of what was this incredible step in America, where I have achieved many things,” said Pisano. .

The Argentine, who on his departure generated controversy over the statements he gave about “some details” that in his opinion were lacking in America, explained that everything he said was thinking for the good of the institution.

“If I marked things that I did not like about the structure of the club, it is because I believe, with all my convictions and because history says it, that América de Cali is for much more. And to continue growing, you have to think like champions and improve” he explained.

In the emotional video, in addition, the Argentine argued that beyond sports achievements, he keeps the great experiences and well-known friends in Cali.

“Beyond sports, I take memories with wonderful people, friends and colleagues who have not only played with me on the court: A technical body that I trust, props, kinesiologists, masseurs, nutritionists, club employees, all generous, accomplices in the moments of laughter and loyal in the moments when things did not go away. With them, it was with the first ones that I hugged myself when we became champions, “he concluded.

Finally, Pisano left a video with his best moments in the red team:

Today I have to close a stage that I will never forget in my professional and human career. So I wanted to share this little video with a little of what was this incredible step by @americadecalisa where I have achieved many things. I arrived saying that I was going to give everything to get the club back to the top of the local tournament and the continent and today I say goodbye to Colombian soccer champion and with the closest memory of the goal in Copa Libertadores. And this is how America deserves to be: At the top of Colombia and being the protagonist of each continental tournament. I told them that I have achieved many things because, beyond sports, I take memories with wonderful people, friends and colleagues who have not only played with me on the court: A technical body that I trust, props, kinesiologists, masseurs, nutritionists , club employees, all generous, accomplices in moments of laughter and loyal in moments when things did not go. With them, it was with the first ones that I hugged myself when we became champions. If I marked things that I did not like about the structure of the club it is because I believe, with all my convictions and because history says it, that América de Cali is for much more. And to continue growing you have to think like champions and improve. It should never be so long to celebrate again, achievements have to become a habit. Both me and my family have become great fans of the club and we will miss hearing the scarlet rostrum cheer as always. To all the fans who have made me feel at home, thank you. Thank you for letting me be part of the rich and enormous history of this GIANT club. I will follow each match from wherever I am. I am leaving with the joy of having left everything for the objectives and having achieved them. I’ll never forget them. Eternally grateful, Matías Pisano # 7 ⚽️
