Former Manchester United forward Dwight Yorke wants Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to try and sign Leroy Sane from Manchester City.
Sane could leave City this summer after Pep Guardiola recently confirmed that the German striker rejected the Blues’ most recent contract offer. Bayern Munich is Sane’s most likely destination.
The 24-year-old made only two appearances for City this season after injuring his anterior cruciate ligament against Liverpool in the Community Shield in August.
Yorke has been impressed by some of United’s strikers this season, but believes it would be nice to “mix it up” in an attempt to hire Sane from their rivals.
Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho is United’s main focus before the summer transfer window, something Yorke was also eager to tackle.
“United really has a lot of young player strikers. Add Sancho, I like the boy Sane. If I were to throw myself in the air, the Sane guy at City really do (I like it), “said Yorke Astro stadium.
“We don’t have a kind of left wing. The boy (Mason) Greenwood has been coming to the fore recently but I like Sane. I really think this guy is probably also the fastest of all and has a really good attitude.
“I know he had some injuries, but if I was brave, if I was the manager of Man United at this point in time, this is the type of person I would choose. He has had a couple of years in the Premier League, I have seen him up close, he is a player that I really like.
“Obviously the Sancho boy is up there too, but if you can’t catch him, why not be brave and look for a player who played on the other side of the door and provoke some agitation, just shake a little. This is what I would like to do. “
