Solskjaer explains what Harry Maguire has given to United

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer praised Harry Maguire’s command skills after the captain saved Manchester United in his FA Cup quarter-final in Norwich City.

Maguire struck after 118 minutes to save United from a penalty against the Premier League cross-country club, sealing a 2-1 victory on Carrow Road and booking a spot in the semi-finals of the FA Cup.

The captain approached earlier in overtime when Tim Krul held the header out and his desire to avoid the added 30 minutes was evident in an injury in the late 90’s while doing a superimposed race to the left while United he searched in vain for a winner in normal time.

But his latest hit, forcing the ball to pass Krul while on the ground, was his third of the season and sparked praise from Solskjaer:

“Two different goals, one that you don’t expect in Tranmere, you would expect the header to come today, but it was a fantastic save.

“Harry has been great since he has been in the club, his leadership skills are there to be seen, today he has won every header and done every challenge.”
