He was compared to Matteo Guendouzi because of his frizzy hair and he composed nature on the ball. But curiously, Nicky Butt compared him to David Beckham and Roy Keane earlier in the season because of his leadership skills.
“Leaders are always seen as a Roy Keane, a Steve Bruce, a Bryan Robson, that kind of verbal aggression, real, real leaders,” he said.
“And then you have leaders like Paul Scholes or David Beckham or Ryan Giggs, who is calm but really guides the example of how they play and how hard they work.
“We have old-fashioned bosses, if you like, who will talk to the players and lead the team,” he said.
“Hannibal (Mejbri) is a leader. The way he plays football is 100 miles per hour, he runs up and down relentlessly.”
