Premier League appearances during the 2019-20 season, so far." data-reactid="31">Below we give each player a rating of 10 because the only requirement for inclusion in this ranking is that five or more Premier League games have been played so far in the 2019-20 season.

Alisson – 9: Simply put, if he is injured, Liverpool has massively missed him. A calming influence. No real mistakes this season. Probably the best goalkeeper in the world?

Premier League but didn’t cover himself in glory in the Champions League as they crashed out to Atletico Madrid." data-reactid="34">Adrian – 7: Did a solid job after playing much more than he expected from West Ham when he arrived in the summer. A few mistakes they didn’t cost in the Premier League, but didn’t cover themselves with glory in the Champions League when they failed against Atletico Madrid.

defender

Premier League history. Has three goals and 12 assists and is a constant threat down the right flank. What a season from the local lad." data-reactid="36">Trent Alexander-Arnold – 10: Yes, I’m not sure there has been a better right-back season in Premier League history. Has three goals and 12 assists and is a constant threat on the right. What a season from the local boy.

Joe Gomez – 8: After a slow start to the season, he came in when Matip was injured and remained the first choice alongside Van Dijk. Here and there a few moments of hesitation

Virgil van Dijk – 10: Perfect. Just perfect. Defensively solid. A leader. Great on the ball. Achieved important goals. Virgil van Dijk couldn’t have asked for more, and if the Ballon d’Or voted today, he would win it.

Andrew Robertson – 9: Like Alexander-Arnold a constant full back threat. Has eight templates in his personal duel with TAA for most templates and his crosses in large games have always been just right. Great character on and off the field and the Scots never stop running.

Premier League. Never lets Liverpool down." data-reactid="40">Joel Matip – 7: Started the season before Gomez, but was then injured and could not return to the team. A little unfortunate, but the best third-choice center-back in the Premier League. Never let Liverpool down.

Champions League and Premier League. The self-professed top center back in the world will see that as a necessary reward for his displays." data-reactid="41">Dejan Lovren – 6: Eh, we all know that he can have really good games. We all know that he has some bad games in him too. Lovren was inconsistent throughout his time in Liverpool, but won the Champions League and the Premier League. The self-proclaimed top center-back in the world will see this as a necessary reward for his displays.

midfield player

Liverpool player ratings

Champions League and Premier League as skipper. Well done that man." data-reactid="55">Jordan Henderson – 10: Perfection from the Captain. This season he has taken his game to a new level. The effort and drive have always been there, but additional quality on the ball, big goals in tight wins against Tottenham and Wolves and generally leading the team to glory. Henderson has had many critics, but he has closed them all this season and his place in the Liverpool greats pantheon is secured as he has skipped the Champions League and the Premier League. Well done, this man.

James Milner – 8: Never gives less than 100 percent and scored a few big penalties in key moments. Milner struggled a bit with injuries, but his influence in the locker room was crucial and on the left, in the central midfield, or elsewhere where he did a job. Milner helped the youngsters to join the team and he seems to be a coach in the future.

Georginio Wijnaldum – 9: Unsung hero. The Dutch midfielder never stops smiling and works so hard. Wijnaldum has so much to offer and is the perfect number six. In addition to Henderson and Fabinho, the balance in midfield was really good. Will he sign a new contract now?

Fabinho – 8: Was badly injured throughout the season, but the Brazilian was great when he played. Some stunning goals against Man City and Crystal Palace, but it’s his defensive performances that stand out. Sits as the third center-back when TAA and Robertson push forward and is a key tooth on this defensive.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain – 7: A bit rusty at first when he fought back injuries, but the ox was relentless throughout the season. Still not quite at his pre-injury level, but a great midfield option for Liverpool.

Naby Keita – 7: Injuries have hit Keita hard, but when he’s on the pitch, his quality is undoubtedly. If ‘Naby lad’ can stay fit, he will be like a new player next season.

Takumi Minamino – 6: Has done well since arriving in Salzburg in January and was mainly used from the bank. Fascinated to see how it develops.

Adam Lallana – 6: Injuries hit him again, but his influence outside the field was excellent. A big goal at Man United to seal a late tie at the start of the season and he will leave Liverpool this summer.

Forward

Liverpool player ratings

Mohamed Salah – 8: scored 17 goals, but it’s fair to say he was a little inconsistent this season, especially at the start. However, Salah is Salah and he never stops running and is always on.

Roberto Firmino – 9: This season he has the recognition he deserves for his hold-up game, his work speed and his creativity. Drops deep to make room for Mane and Salah, and its incredible flicks and finishes are praised worldwide. Bobby Firmino is a cult hero in Anfield.

Premier League player of the season." data-reactid="82">Sadio Mane – 10: Almost the perfection of Mane. He was on fire at the start of the season and although he has cooled off a bit in terms of goals scored, he is the key to everything that is great about this attack in Liverpool. Right up there with VVD, Henderson and Kevin de Bruyne to make the leaders the season’s Premier League player.

Divock Origi – 7: Keep coming from the bank to keep up the pace. Origi is happy to be the fourth choice striker, to contribute if he can, and to take part in the cup competitions.

Xherdan Shaqiri – 6: Injuries hit Shaq hard again, but there is no doubt that he is a good player for 10-15 starts per season. Minamino’s arrival could mean Shaqiri will be leaving this summer.
