John Barnes believes Kalidou Koulibaly is better suited to Liverpool than Manchester City, and believes that he could benefit Joe Gomez’s development.
Koulibaly has been associated with a move from Italy for some time. Many clubs are interested in a defender who is considered by many to be one of the best in the world.
The Reds and the City are among the sites associated with attempting to lure him away from Napoli, with the Senegal international likely likely to return a lot of money to potential applicants.
And while he believes City Koulibaly can attract more, Barnes believes the defender would fit better in Anfield.

Barnes also believes Koulibaly in Liverpool would have a huge impact on Gomez and could help the 23-year-old as he continues to develop.
