Leicester fans are angry after seeing Ben Chilwell joke with Ross Barkley all day

It was a couple of decent weeks for Frank Lampard’s Chelsea.

Since football’s return to the coronavirus pandemic, the blues have won all three games to put themselves in a strong position and finish in the top four while also reaching the FA Cup semi-finals.

The latter managed a 1-0 win against Leicester on Sunday to play the last four games against Manchester United.

After a bleak first half, Frank Lampard made three substitutions, bringing in Cesar Azpilicueta, Mateo Kovacic and Ross Barkley.

And it was Barkley who scored the only goal of the game with a nice finish after a Willian cross.

While things are going well for Chelsea on the pitch, things are going pretty well out of the pitch as well.

Hakim Ziyech was already on the move, but Chelsea also defeated Liverpool with the signing of Timo Werner.

But they don’t seem to stop there.

They have also been associated with Kai Havertz from Bayer Leverkusen and Ben Chilwell from Leicester.

Lampard had the opportunity to see Chilwell first-hand on Sunday, and he may not have been too impressed with how left-back Willian allowed Barkley’s winners to cross.

And the Leicester fans weren’t impressed either. Not so much for his role in Chelsea’s goal, but for his reaction to full-time.

Chilwell had a laugh and a joke with Barkley – something that Leicester fans didn’t particularly appreciate, as some of them asked the club to sell it.

Of course, the Leicester fans were a little angry with the result and their reaction may have been a bit irrational.

But you can understand why they were upset under the circumstances.

Chilwell will be fully aware of the connections with Chelsea and the fact that he was joking with the match winner who scored a goal he could have prevented was a bit naive.

He will know Barkley well from international service and although he was seen laughing, he was probably deeply disappointed that his team had left the FA Cup.
