Leeds United’s headlines the night the whites Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink prove otherwise, most recently Ben White

Here are the headlines from Leeds United on Sunday June 28th.

Leeds has to thank Bielsa for the decisive victory

Orchestrated by the outsider Marcelo BielsaLeeds United made a ruthless and efficient 3-0 win over Fulham this weekend.

Leeds’ attack movements were crisp, precise, and devastating, leaving a flat Fulham. The success of Leeds’ first game behind closed doors on Elland Road since the restart was largely thanks to Marcelo Bielsa’s genius.

Patrick Bamford and Helder Costa, who teamed up for the first goal, were given a 1-0 lead. Bielsa replaced the duo with Pablo Hernández and Ezgjan Alioski, who offered the whites a counter-attack threat.

The Spaniard’s ability to play balls exaggerated and Fulham’s inability to deal with a multi-dimensional Leeds led to Bielsa’s men ending the game with two additional goals.

It was a big call from Bielsa but fully justified and yet another example of the overarching wisdom of men.

No fans, no problem

Leeds United resisted expectations that they would suffer without their passion Support at home by shipping Fulham 3-0 over the weekend.

Former United striker Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink had suggested before the kick-off that Leeds’ perceived confidence in Elland Road believers could prove to be a minor disadvantage when they arrived.

Nonetheless, an outstanding account of people like Jack Harrison dispelled fears that Leeds would struggle to repeat their pre-lockdown form.

However, Elland Road was not entirely empty. Leeds’ players will have felt the support of thousands who have paid for their cardboard cutouts to be on the stands. Madcap Macedonian Ezgjan Alioski was seen clapping the artificial support full-time, which was well received by Leeds fans on social media.

As it turned out, Marcelo Bielsa’s men did not have to follow the advice of former sniper Hasselbaink. Their next home game is on Tuesday June 30th against Luton Town fighters.

Leeds is not without a fight for white

Ben White was omnipresent for Leeds United this season and played every minute of the Whites League campaign. In the central defender, he has built an excellent partnership with Scottish international Liam Cooper, who has conceded the fewest goals in the entire division.

White’s loan agreement expires at the end of the current campaign The athlete insists Leeds still has plans to sign the 22-year-old permanently.

It is noted that the continued interest in a permanent contract is real, but expectations of the club have been tempered by the intention of the parent club Brighton and Hove Albion to integrate them into their team.

White is expected to compete in the Premier League next season as part of Graham Potter’s three-man central defense. This follows another outstanding performance by the young defender, who managed to control 23-goal Fulham shooter Aleksandar Mitrović in a 3-0 victory yesterday.
