Leeds United v Luton Town LIVE: Bielsa makes Hernandez’s decision when he confirms that he will compete against Hatters

Leeds wants to strengthen the top 2 grip

We are right in the middle of it.

Tonight is the first of seven games in 22 days. In the end we will finally find out whether Marcelo Bielsa’s second season on Elland Road ends with an automatic ascent or not.

In Saturday’s 3-0 win over Fulham, Leeds returned to the top of the championship table with a three point lead over West Brom, extending the lead to eight points over the third.

This is as good a chance as Leeds since they left the Premier League 16 years ago, but no one in the club – or the fan base – is counting their chickens yet.

The late collapse of last year is still in memory and everyone who sees the championship knows the crazy results that this competition regularly produces.

Today’s opponent Luton is in 23rd place in the table, but has been in good shape since the restart. He scored four points from his games against Preston and Swansea and gave himself every chance to hit the drop.

Leeds only had to remember Wigan on Elland Road last season to play a similar-looking game. The squad will not show complacency.

We’ll have the entire setup here, as well as team news, game actions, and analysis here.

So turn on the kettle and let’s start …
