Kyrgios meets Zverev for party video | news

(Reuters) – Australian Nick Kyrgios hit Alexander Zverev after a video showed German dance on Sunday in a crowded club, despite promising to isolate himself last week.

The video was posted on Instagram by the German designer Philipp Plein and later deleted. There was no indication of when the video was recorded.

The Zverev team has yet to respond to the request for comment.

23-year-old Zverev participated in Novak Djokovic’s Adria Tour exhibition in Serbia and Croatia, where Djokovic, Grigor Dimitrov, Borna Coric and Viktor Troicki all tested positive for the novel corona virus last week.

The German said he and his team tested negative, but would isolate themselves and undergo regular tests.

“So I wake up and see controversial things around the world,” Kyrgios said in an Instagram post. “But one thing that struck me was seeing Sascha Zverev again, man, again, again. How selfish can you be?”

Kyrgios previously criticized the organizers of the tournament and suggested the governing bodies for their plans to resume professional tennis during the pandemic.

At the Djokovic event, spectators crowded into the stands for the opening game in Belgrade while the players hugged and posed for photos, attended press conferences together and played basketball during the event in Croatia.

Zverev was also pictured with other players dancing in a club in Serbia during the event.

“If you are bold enough to … publish a tweet that your management wrote on your behalf saying you will isolate yourself for 14 days and apologize to the public, that they are at risk of their health, at least have the audacity to stay inside for 14 days, “said Kyrgios.
