Kings’ Jabari Parker saw tennis play after a positive test: Report

Three days after announcing that he had tested positive for COVID-19, Sacramento Kings striker Jabari Parker was seen playing tennis in Chicago without a mask after recently going out to a restaurant.

TMZ published a couple of photos showing Parker playing tennis without a mask and said the photos were taken earlier that day.

The outlet also reported: “Jabari was recently seen in a restaurant in the Windy city.”

Although it is not known exactly when Parker tested positive or the current state of his recovery, the club released a statement to the Sacramento Bee on Saturday afternoon after the TMZ report surfaced.

“We are aware of the report and are collecting additional information,” reads the note. “We have no further comments at the moment.”

The NBA requires all players who test positive for the COVID-19 test to abstain from physical activity for a minimum of 14 days.

Parker, 25, said in a statement Wednesday that he had tested positive for COVID-19 “several days ago” and was isolating himself in Chicago. He added that he plans to join his teammates next month at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex near Orlando, Florida when the NBA season resumes.

Teammate Alex Len also announced Wednesday that he also tested positive for the virus. Buddy Hield, a Fellow Kings player, also reportedly tested positive for COVID-19, although neither Kings nor Hield made any announcements.

The teams will begin arriving in Florida for the training camp by July 11th and the season will resume on July 30th.

The NBA season went on hiatus on March 11th.
