Feyenoord watcher Mikos Gouka of Algemeen Dagblad questions the negotiations between Feyenoord and a number of players. Leroy Fer and Eric Botteghin are supposed to renew, but there is still no agreement.
The club has been talking to the players for several weeks. “It actually takes far too long for two players who only have to extend a contract. Of course that has to do with salary, but also with certain conditions,” says Gouka at FOX Sports. “Those players have to settle for less, but Feyenoord takes a long time for a top club to have two players renewed. That is very dissatisfying.”
“I understand that Botteghin has now got an offer that he should think about again. With Fer there is also puzzling, he would like to stay longer but also enjoys interest from abroad. I have heard that Feyenoord is confident that it will be fine, but they have been working on this for almost six to eight weeks now. “
Feyenoord did extend the Orkun Kökcü contract on Friday until 2025.
