Frank Lampard suggests to Christian Pulisic to combine the likes of Salah, mane and Sterling
Chelsea pulled one out of their hat while signing the American ace Christian Pulisic in the summer of 2019.
The flying wing failed to kick off the best starts as the Blues fell in a 4-0 defeat against Manchester United. He was forgotten when he quickly staged a performance to remember against Liverpool in the UEFA Super Cup.
Even though we lost the night, it was clear that we have a real player in our hands. Now, after an injury, Pulisic has thrown the ball on a Chelsea renaissance.
The 21-year-old scored against Aston Villa and Manchester City while Lampard’s side extended their fourth place to five points.
According to Express, the Blues boss has a high opinion of the wing and expects it to match the numbers presented by Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Raheem Sterling.
“It has the capability of Sterling, Salahs and Manes, who are now producing numbers from large areas.”
The trio has redefined the role of midfielder who scores goals and has scored goals for fun in recent seasons.
Lampard believes that Pulisic has the ability to do the same and praised the American application in training.
“Work hard. I’m happy to have it. Now you have to aim as high as possible.”
While still young, Lampard believes that the young man’s potential has led to high expectations, which he is now starting to fulfill.
So far Pulisic has scored 8 goals and 6 assists in 25 games. This is an impressive return in his debut season. It is destined to improve with time and seems ready to demonstrate the prophetic Lampard’s words.
