Hubník will soon seal his return to Sigma. What’s up with Jemelka?

Hubník will return to Olomouc after five years. In the autumn of 2015, he helped Sigma to host, which Pilsen requested for personal reasons. The last time Sigma was a regular player was in 2007. Then he went to engage in FK Moskva, which paid about 100 million crowns for him. Subsequently, Hubník played a year as a guest in Sparta Prague and three and a half years in Germany for Herth Berlin. Since 2013, he has been in Pilsen, with which he has won three master’s degrees. The fourth is with Sparta. He played 29 matches for the national team and participated in the European Championships in 2012 and 2016.

Now an experienced fighter, for whom a two-year contract is prepared in Olomouc, should expand the possibilities in the Sigma defense line. As soon as Captain Vít Beneš, or the aforementioned Jemelka, dropped out of the team, the Han family had problems. Neither the pupil Jan Štěrba nor the originally defensive midfielder Lukáš Greššák was convincing.

But 25-year-old Jemelka longs for a career shift. Two years ago, at a time when Sigma was playing in the European League, he belonged to a wider cadre of the national team. But since then, the Han have finished in the ninth league and this year they have not even made it into the top ten. There can be no dream of visibility on the European stage. That is why in the winter the native of Uničov wanted to nod to the offer of the Kazakh Kajrat Almaty.

Many fans automatically see the equation between Hubník’s arrival and Jemelka’s departure. “I certainly wouldn’t connect it like that,” said Roman Brulík, who coincidentally represents both Hubník and Jemelka.

Jemelka? Kazakhstan is out of date

Just because the transfer market after the coronavirus break is changing in many respects, it is possible that Sigma may have three above-standard stoppers for the Czech league next season.

Although there are rumors in the corridors that the interest from Almaty in Jemelka has not cooled down even after six months, but according to Brulík, this line is not up to date. “In Kazakhstan, they are currently dealing with other concerns related to the spread of coronavirus, transfers and similar issues are not being addressed now,” said Brulík.

“But it’s similar in many other countries, because things around covid are not resolved there. For example, in the Benelux, which could also apply to Vaška, the competitions ended prematurely. Clubs are judged there with unions. It is not known who will descend or how many will be played next season. In addition, the financial outages that clubs will have, for example, only because the stadiums will not be able to be full. In such a situation, it is difficult to solve the staff for next season, “said the agent.

Another problem for those interested, as in winter, is the price that Sigma demands for Jemelka. In the winter, Kajrat allegedly offered a million euros and bonuses, but that was not enough for Olomouc.

“Sigma appreciates Vaška a lot. And it’s not just for sports reasons, but also because of the way it is off the field. Maybe because of the things he did during the coronavirus pandemic. But no one can deny the club that. It is his right, “said Brulík.

In addition, Jemelka has a contract in Olomouc until the summer of 2022, so Hanáky is not pushed to sell anything extra, unless an offer appears that is not rejected.
