Genoa-Juve 1-3: Dybala, Ronaldo, Douglas and Pinamonti, Sarri at +4 on Lazio

Three masterpieces in the second half pave the way for the bianconeri, who in the end collect the goal of Pinamonti

Mission accomplished. Always thanks to the two of them: Paulo Dybala and Cristiano Ronaldo, before Douglas Costa completes the party, decorated with three masterpieces. When a game becomes more complicated, Juve takes the shots of its champions out of the cylinder and it is late at night for the opponents. And so the Bianconeri respond to the victory of Lazio in Turin, going to take three very important points on the field of a Genoa that has endured only one time: the advantage over the Biancocelesti remains four points. As against Lecce it is a magic of Dybala to simplify things to Maurizio Sarri: the Argentine is the man of the moment, the player who in this season splits the games and never scores trivial goals: the Joya, at 50 ‘, he performs in a slalom in the opponent’s area before exploding a loss that cannot be learned for Perin. Not to be outdone, Cristiano answers him for six minutes later, with a big knock from the limit that the Rossoblù goalkeeper can only admire. As you can admire the parable of Douglas Costa, recently entered, who in the 73 ‘signs the 3-0, before Pinamonti in the 76’ makes the Genoa evening slightly less bitter.

CLOSED SPACES

Yet Juve in the first half suffers from the spaces closed by the rossoblù. The Bianconeri, who started with Rabiot in place of Matuidi and Bernardeschi, outside the top right in the trident with Dybala and Ronaldo, crushed Genoa in the first half hour: great possession of the ball and short phrasing, constantly looking for a hole that is not there, however. And so the bianconeri try from afar, first with Bernardeschi and then with Cristiano Ronaldo, but the former Perin always makes himself ready. Sarri’s team is then dangerous with Dybala, stopped in the corner after a nice exchange with CR7, and with Rabiot, whose header is blocked on the ground by Perin, superlative in stopping Ronaldo on 43 ‘, on a close shot by the Portuguese. A situation of tactical domination of the bianconeri that however does not serve to break through against a careful and good Genoa to close all the spaces, but never dangerous in the parts of Szczesny.

REPLACED RONALDO

In the second half Genoa’s resistance eased and Juve broke through with its stars. Once the 3-0 was scored, Sarri also removed Ronaldo from the field (it was the 74th minute): this time between the two a hug and a “five” of understanding, not as in November against Milan … Energy saved in view of the Saturday derby against Turin. Genoa, however, after only one point in three games after the second half, to find the resources to achieve salvation will have to change its attitude: Nicola’s team appeared too renouncing and resigned to an opponent who was clearly superior.
