Football is finally coming back and bigger talks are going on – The Athletic

Current NWSL games were played yesterday – live women’s football on a major national television station to start the day, followed by the league’s first test on the CBS All Access streaming service. It may take a while for audience numbers to appear, but we have two high quality matches with far less rust than most would have expected. The NWSL was officially the first professional contact league in the United States, and the first time since October when I heard the voice of play-by-play announcer Jenn Hildreth, I shivered.
