Every known tattoo on the body of the former bull star

Did you know that Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan has a tattoo on his body that he’s always been a little sensitive about?

In 2009, when Jordan was introduced to the Hall of Fame, legendary Bulls writer Sam Smith revealed the shocking revelation that MJ has a tattoo on his left chest:

“Little known is that he has a tattoo, an omega horseshoe over his left breast which he has always been somewhat sensitive to.”

A few years ago, Jordan appeared on the Bob Greene cover Rebound: Michael Jordan’s Odyssey and the photo of a young Jordan shows a tattoo on the left side of his chest.

The tattoo, an omega horseshoe, was designed as a way to engage Jordan’s commitment to the black fraternity, Omega Psi Phi, of which he was part while attending North Carolina university for college.

NBA players like LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony, Allen Iverson, Derrick Rose, JR Smith and Anthony Davis – just to name a few – have a variety of tattoos on their bodies. Jordan, however, was a little different and didn’t want to have ink covered all over his skin.

As we all know, Jordan is the greatest player in NBA history. “His Airness” ended his legendary pro career with an average of 30.1 points, 6.2 rebounds and 5.3 assists in 1,072 regular season games with the Bulls and Washington Wizards.

During his run with the Bulls, Jordan racked up 31.5 points, 6.3 rebounds, 5.4 assists and 2.5 steals in 930 regular season games. He has won six NBA championships, six final MVPs, five regular season MVPs, a Defensive Player of the Year Award and the 1985 Rookie of the Year Award.

Jordan and the Bulls scored a perfect 6-0 in the final in the 90s. Chicago defeated the Los Angeles Lakers, the Portland Trail Blazers, the Phoenix Suns, Seattle SuperSonics and Utah Jazz (twice) for their six rings. What’s even more impressive is that Jordan and the Bull never needed a seventh game to win their six rings.

The Bulls built a statue of Jordan outside the United Center in 1994. Jordan is Chicago’s all-time leader in games played, field goals, free throws, rebounds, assists, steals, points, points per game, rating of the efficiency of the player and victory -shares.
