The ball had been cleared up by White when Mitrovic unnecessarily put his elbow in the face of the Leeds man.
But referee Tony Harrington and his officials completely missed the incident, and Mitrovic got away with it.
The 25-year-old went over to check on the loaned Brighton man White, who was lying down on the grass of Elland Road.
But he’d gotten away a lot in the ugly clash.
Not surprisingly, when Sky Sports posted the clip on social media, the people at Mitrovic’s Petulanz were stunned.
Louise Barnes wrote that he should “be gone” and that there was “no need”.
Paul Hewitt wrote that “he has to finish afterwards” while Colin McMullan wrote that it was “a red card all day”.
Mark Wilkinson wrote that it was “disgraceful” while many referred to Mitrovic as “thugs”.
Joe Catling added that it was “absolutely disgusting from Mitrovic”.
Many wished VAR would be used in the championship, which would have resulted in a straight red.
No VAR in the championship is idiotic. Mitrovic should already be discontinued for this elbow. Disgusting. #LUFC #MOT

One could imagine that Mitrovic would ban a three game after this game.
Ref may have missed the shocking elbow – but that’s just as cut and dry for punishing FA videos as it comes.– Duncan Wright (@ dwright75), June 27, 2020
That was outrageous from Mitrovic. Ref didn’t see it, did he? For this he has to get a healthy ban.

Leeds would ultimately win 3-0 and take a big step towards promotion to the Premier League with Patrick Bamford, Ezgjan Alioski and Jack Harrison all scoring a goal.
But their task could and should have been made easier for Fulham’s hot-headed striker by an early bath.
