Former Liverpool midfielder Dietmar Hamann believes the Reds have eliminated Manchester United.
The German explained that after winning the Champions League and the Premier League within 12 months, Jurgen Klopp’s team is now the team the best players want to join in England.
She said The mirror: ‘When I was a player, the club everyone wanted to join was Manchester United. Did you know that signing for United guaranteed you the medals of the winners.

“In that regard, he eliminated United from their perch.”
Despite praise for his former club, Hamann has admitted that he does not believe that the Reds will form a Premier League dynasty due to the strength of other clubs in the league.

‘I’m not sure that Liverpool will dominate the Premier League as United did – because Manchester City and Pep Guardiola will have something to say about it.
‘But Liverpool are five years ahead of United – and the big clubs in London are even further behind.
“Klopp still has four years for his contract – and by the time he wants to surpass 20 United titles and also win the Champions League.”
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp and his players were all smiles as Premier League title winners returned to work at their Melwood training ground on Sunday.
Some of the club’s stars were photographed leaving Melwood on Saturday, two days after starting the celebrations after winning the club’s first league title in 30 years.
But a series of clips on Liverpool’s official social media pages showed early examples of footage from inside Melwood from the title win.
