On Sunday evening, Lt. Col. Allen West criticized the NFL and other companies for “huddling” in the “Black Lives Matter crowd.”
“It is very appalling that you have these companies and businesses and that you have these NFL sports franchises that curl up, nod and surrender to a Marxist crowd, which is Black Lives Matter,” West told Life, Liberty . & Wine. “

President Trump fired on the NFL at his June 20 rally in Tulsa, Okla., Calling Commissioner Roger Goodell’s video of “Black Lives Matter” earlier this month and his encouragement for players to demonstrate peacefully.
“Explain that to the NFL,” said Trump. “I love the NFL. I like Roger Goodell. But I didn’t like what he said a week ago. I said, “Where does it come from in the middle of summer?” Nobody even asks.
“We will never kneel before our national anthem or our great American flag,” added Trump.
Following the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis, implicated by the police, and the demonstrations which followed, Goodell published a video declaration admitting that the league did not listen to the players when they knelt during the national anthem to protest against racial injustice and police brutality.

West fired former NFL quarterback Brett Favre who said former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick would be a hero to kneel during the national anthem and compared him to Pat Tilman.
“Pat Tilman was a man who left the NFL and decided to join the military, become an infantryman, an airborne ranger and was unfortunately killed in a friendly fire during a fight in Afghanistan. Now how do you compare that to someone like Colin Kaepernick? Said West.
“The only reason Brett Favre does this, the only reason someone like Drew Brees apologizes, or Roger Goodell kneels, the only reason you have the head of Chick-fil-A who talking about white people needs to shine black shoes, it’s because they don’t have the guts to stand up and say what needs to be said. They still believe that you can appease the crowd, the crowd will never be happy. “
