Cardiff City now imagined what the final championship table with Leeds United would look like, but Swansea fell away

The championship campaign continued this weekend with a lot of action, with results affecting the struggles at both ends of the table.

Leeds United and Brentford both clinched decisive victories against promotion rivals West Brom and Fulham, while Charlton and Luton Town ultimately achieved major victories in the relegation battle.

Since most teams still have seven games to go, time runs out in the season and there is little room for slip-ups – and the return of the action has already shown us some surprising results.

This makes it extremely difficult to make predictions, but data analysts Thirty-five cracked the numbers to get a predicted final table – which includes a 60% reduction in home advantage when playing games behind closed doors.

At the top of the stack, Leeds is ahead of winning the title and returning to the Premier League by five points over West Brom, who occupies the second automatic promotional spot.

This will keep Brentford, Fulham, Nottingham Forest and Cardiff City in the play-offs, and it is predicted that there will be a gap in the struggle for a top 6 result after Cardiff has a five point lead after defeating Preston.

In the meantime, Luton Town and Barnsley are expected to finish with 46 points and relegate to the first division – five points for security reasons.

However, the battle is fierce above them and Hull City has to step back and land one point behind Charlton – with Stoke City, Huddersfield and Middlesbrough also barely avoiding a downgrade.
