Potential number 1 in the overall rating Anthony Edwards has decided to sign with the Klutch Sports Group as his representative before the 2020 NBA draft, the agency said on Sunday.
The Klutch Sports Group, founded by Agent Rich Paul, represents many top players in the NBA. Edwards joins LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Trae Young, Eric Bledsoe, John Wall, Ben Simmons, Draymond Green and Jusuf Nurkic among the players represented by Paul and Klutch Sports Group.
Edwards joins the 2020 NBA draft as a top perspective after a strong freshman season in Georgia. In 32 games played, the security guard scored an average of 19.1 points, 5.2 rebounds and 2.8 assists at 40.2% from the field. Georgia ended the season with a 16-16 record.
Before Edwards, the Hawks’ Young was the last NBA player to sign with the Klutch Sports Group and announced it on June 26.
Paul is credited with executing the trade in June 2019, which sent Davis to Los Angeles and matched him with his colleague James on the Lakers. Davis signed with the Klutch Sports Group in September 2018.
The NBA draft, originally scheduled for June 25, has been postponed to October 16 due to the coronavirus pandemic. The lottery design will take place on August 25 with an early closing date on August 17.
The NBA season is currently scheduled to continue on July 30 at the ESPN Wide World of Sports in Orlando, Florida. A champion should be crowned by October 13 before the design.
