Alexandre Lacazette and the 11 players that Arsenal fans want to sell in the summer transfer window

These are the test times at the Emirates stadium.

Since returning to the Premier League last week after stopping the coronavirus, Arsenal have suffered streak losses against Manchester City and Brighton & Hove Albion, have received bad news on the injury front and have made the controversial decision to extend David Luiz’s contract.

To say that he was full of action would be an understatement.

But whatever happens between today and the end of the season, an imposing summer is coming for Mikel Arteta and the Gunners hierarchy, while Arteta plans to try to put his own brand of authority on the team inherited by the Gunners boss Unai Emery to December.

And before the transfer window opens – although no official date has yet been set for when this could be – football.london gave Gunners fans the opportunity to take part in a unique survey to decide which players the club should try to download and maintain this summer.

As expected, many Arsenal fans made the decision to vote and the results drew some very interesting conclusions about what the fans think should happen at the Emirates stadium this summer.

Before delving into the statistics and outlining who the fans want to see downloaded this summer, it’s safe to say that most fans want a complete renewal as far as the first team is concerned.

Fans voted to see up to 13 first-team starts, including performers of the caliber of Alexandre Lacazette and Mesut Ozil, downloaded, as they aim to see Arteta oversee a summer of transformation.

According to our poll, Lacazette is the player Arsenal fans want to see most sold this summer, with 44.9 percent of fans voting for him to download.

Behind the Frenchman was central defender Konstantinos Mavropanos, with 39.7 percent of fans voting to sell him.

Sokratis was just behind Mavropanos, as 38.5% of fans voted for his sale, as Cedric Soares, although unlikely after just signing a new contract, returned home in fourth place with a percentage of vote of 34.1.

Of the remaining members of the first Arsenal team that fans want to see let go, Sead Kolasinac, Matt Macey, Dani Ceballos, Shkodran Mustafi, Mesut Ozil, Mohamed Elneny, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Luiz.

On the other hand, however, it was Gabriel Martinelli who obtained the highest number of votes for which Arsenal fans want to see the club keep the majority, accumulating a surprising 96.7 percent of the votes in favor of maintaining it.

Just behind the talented Brazilian were William Saliba at 96.4 percent and Bukayo Saka at 95.9 percent.

Although it can be surprising, only 68.8 percent want to see Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang stay.

Some of the other players that Arsenal fans want to see keep the club are the likes of Nicolas Pepe, Eddie Nketiah, Bernd Leno and Lucas Torreira.
