Ajax confirms Donny van de Beek’s transfer agreement in the interest of Manchester United

Manchester United has received a boost for a possible summer change for Donny van de Beek after Ajax manager Erik ten Hag announced that there is an agreement between the player and the Dutch club that he can leave this summer.

United’s former goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar recently confirmed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s interest in the 23-year-old, while MEN Sport reported in January that United’s Van de Beek is under review.

United strives to promote creativity in midfield at the end of the season. Jack Grealish is the preferred option after the Aston Villa captain takes precedence over James Maddison, who is expected to sign a new contract in Leicester.

Ten Hag acknowledged there could be a lot to do at Ajax this summer, and announced that three players have already signed transfer agreements with the club.

“The transfer market will start in August – the top leagues will now be played to keep the cash flows,” said the manager The parool.

“The market value of players will be slightly depressed, but not much. Because of their performance and ambition, some of our players want to move abroad.

“Agreements have been reached with Andre Onana, Donny van de Beek and Nicolas Tagliafico, but it remains to be seen whether the market will actually break out.

“For Onana and Van de Beek another year of Ajax could certainly be an option, for Tagliafico it is a bit different due to its age.

“In preparation, I will try Lisandro Martínez in this position. He also played in midfield with us, but he’s a defender. “
