Indonesian men’s doubles partner, Marcus Fernaldi Gideon / Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo, shook hands with Aaron Chia / Sooh Woi Yik (Malaysia) in the quarter-finals of the All England Open 2020 at the Birmingham Arena, England, Friday (3/13/2020).

BOLASPORT.COM – Malaysia’s twin boys, Aaron Chia / Soh Wooi Yik, has never won against Marcus Fernaldi Gideon / Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo from seven meetings.

After failing seven times in a row, Aaron Chia / Soh Wooi Yik tried to find a way to defeat Marcus Fernaldi Gideon / Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo.

Aaron Chia / Soh Wooi Yik rate Hiroyuki Endo / Yuta Watanabe’s (Japanese) playing style as an example because they have strong defenses so they can outperform Marcus Fernaldi Gideon / Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo.

Endo / Watanabe won 6-2 over the world’s number one men’s doubles. At the last meeting, Endo / Watanabe conquered Marcus / Kevin and won the All England Open 2020 champion in March.

“We might have to learn a thing or two from Endo / Watanabe if we want to defeat Marcus / Kevin,” Chia was quoted as saying by BolaSport.com from The Star.

“Even though our style of play is different, we can always incorporate some of their good points into our game,” Chia said.

“They defeated Marcus / Kevin six times in a row and it was phenomenal. I don’t think there are other pairs in the world today who can do that.”

Chia admitted that she had observed how Endo / Watanabe was against them.

“They are superior in terms of defense. It is very difficult to break their defenses. They also have extraordinary patience. They can be so calm even at critical times,” said Chia.
