One Aston Villa fan has managed to come up with a wonderfully weird way to support Holte End hero John McGinn.

The 24-year-old Scotsman has been a revelation at Villa Park since his £2.5million summer transfer from Hibernian and is the overwhelming favourite to collect the club’s player of the year award.

McGinn has scored six times for Villa this season while he also has nine assists to his name.

And the support from the terraces has been unwavering.

A fan has created an additional chant to the popular ‘Super John McGinn’ one Villans have adopted since he joined.

The song ‘Walking with the King’ has been adapted to ‘Walking with McGinn’ and it’s taken Twitter by storm.

Singer/songwriter and Villa fan Emma Flowers has produced a version of the chant fans hope will be heard at Villa Park before the season is out.

Flowers is going to make the record official and offer Villans the chance to purchase it online. All proceeds will go to the Villa Trust and their work in the community.

You can check the song out via the video at the top of this article.

The popular fan group Project B6 have created a banner in honour of McGinn, featuring the ‘Meatball’ nickname he arrived with from Scotland.
