The appointment of Turkish Shaker as a referee for the match between Liverpool and Paris St Germain in the Champions League

UEFA announced the appointment of Turkish referee Coneet Shakir to manage the match between Liverpool and Paris St Germain in the Champions League.
Liverpool will host the Paris team next Tuesday at Anfield, the bastion of the Reds, in the opening of Group C of the Champions League.
The match will be run by a Turkish team led by the 41-year-old ruler Shakir, assisted by Bahatyn Duran and Tariq Ongun, as well as Hussien Gocek and Paris Simsek, according to the WIFA official website.
Liverpool face Paris for the first time in the history of the Champions League. The two teams have already faced the European Cup semi-finals in 1997 and the Parisians have managed to qualify after a 3-2 win in the aggregate.
Liverpool remain unbeaten in the Champions League in their last 16 games (11 wins and 5 draws), while Paris drew three of their previous three group matches.
The draw drew Liverpool and Paris St Germain in Group C, which also included Napoli and Serbian Red Star.
