BOLASPORT.COM – Monster Energy Yamaha racer, Maverick Vinales, considers that the success achieved by Franco Morbidelli in MotoGP 2020 will not help his team.

Franco Morbidelli became the center of attention after he successfully ended MotoGP 2020 by becoming runner-up behind the world champion, Joan Mir from Suzuki Ecstar.

This result immediately surprised many parties, because Franco Morbidelli drove on an old motorbike, the YZR-M1 2019 with the Yamaha satellite team, Petronas Yamaha SRT.

Franco Morbidelli even outperformed his teammate Fabio Quartararo as well as two factory Yamaha riders, Maverick Vinales and Valentino Rossi, who rode on the latest motorcycle.

The success achieved by the Italian-Brazilian crossbreed racer does not seem to impress Maverick Vinales, who achieved unsatisfactory results during the 2020 MotoGP.

Through an opportunity, Maverick Vinales emphasized that he would not focus on Franco Morbidelli by adopting his racing data.

This is because the rider with the nickname Top Gun feels that the motorbike used by Franco Morbidelli is technically very different when compared to his iron horse.

“Basically everything is different, from the chassis, the swingarm, everything is different, it’s a different bike, that’s why I didn’t focus too much on Franco Morbidelli,” said Maverick Vinales.
