Recognized among the best players in her under-11 age category, Schulze earned an invitation to the nationwide German Badminton Association (Deutscher Badminton-Verband, or DBV) squad training camp. Over three intensive days in Mülheim an der Ruhr, she trained under the guidance of former national coach Diemo Ruhnow, focusing on her strengths and weaknesses. Early wins in the men’s singles and women’s doubles set the tone in Oberursel. Further contributions from Gudd, Happe, Heß, and a nail-biting mixed doubles win by Shamoon and Verena Sievers sealed the dominant result. Youth Squad Dominates Across Mini-Leagues
SG Bremthal/Fischbach’s youngest competitors turned in impressive performances across multiple age divisions. In the U11-Mini-Bezirksoberliga, the U11-1 squad rolled through the weekend with a pair of victories. On Saturday, they defeated hosts in Friedrichsdorf 5–1, backed by straight-set wins from Hanya Yu paired with Louisa Scherer, and Hankai Yu alongside Damian Ebert. They followed up Sunday with a 4-2 triumph over TG Friedberg, leaving the team second in the standings with three wins from three matches.
The club’s second U11 team settled for a 3-3 draw against Hofheim II at home, featuring strong displays from Louisa Scherer and Hanna Grünig in doubles, alongside a singles point from Yannick Scherer. Meanwhile, the third U11 side fought to a 3-3 deadlock in Oberursel, where Marius Lindner secured the decisive draw in a tense final match.
In the U13 competitions, the club fielded three distinct lineups. The first U13 team earned an away draw against TuS Schwanheim, powered by singles wins from Frederik Landvogt and Adrian Ebert plus both doubles pairings, placing them fourth in their regional grouping. The third U13 side captured a 4-2 victory against opponents from Goldbach/Laufach, as Alessia Vaturro and Mila Knoche clinched the decisive points in a tightly contested fixture.
Mixed Fortunes in U15 and U19 Divisions
The U15 teams experienced contrasting fortunes on the regional circuit.
