Jasikevicius Points to Response After Domestic Setback

Jasikevicius opened his remarks by praising both his players and the club’s supporters for bouncing back against a German side that entered the European fixture on the back of positive early-season form.

“It was a good evening for us,” Jasikevicius said through team channels after the match. “After the Bahçeşehir Koleji game, we gave a good reaction as a team. Bayern Munich actually started the season well and were coming in strong. But still, we won in the end.”

“The change in performance from the Bahçeşehir Koleji game was actually up to the players rather than me,” Jasikevicius explained. “Especially over the last 15 years, the status of Fenerbahçe basketball is obvious, and if you are wearing this jersey here, you always have to keep yourself ready. Because you are always in the crosshairs for other teams. We played three very difficult games, but as I said, the players must always keep themselves ready as long as they wear the Fenerbahçe jersey.”

“Until the new year, our arena hosts fewer fans,” Jasikevicius noted. “I guess our fans start spending the money they earn for Fenerbahçe in the new year. I invite our fans to the match we will play on Friday.”
