The Arcieri dell’Elice archery club secured multiple podium finishes across two regional competitions held over the weekend of September 26–27. Athletes representing the club competed in both 3D field archery in Villar Focchiardo and outdoor target archery in San Bartolomeo al Mare, while also receiving official recognition for their contributions to regional sport in Peveragno.
Success in Villar Focchiardo 3D Competition
On Sunday, September 27, the A.S.D. Arcieri Iuvenilia hosted an interregional 3D archery event in Villar Focchiardo, Turin. The competition required participants to navigate a natural course featuring 24 stations, where archers aimed at animal-shaped targets placed at unknown distances. Gabriella Sasia delivered a standout performance, securing the gold medal in the Barebow Master Women’s category. In the Barebow Master Men’s division, Flavio Paradiso completed the course with a mid-table finish.
Podium Results at San Bartolomeo al Mare
Simultaneously, the Arcieri dell’Elice contingent participated in a 25+18 meter outdoor tournament organized by Arc.San Bartolomeo in San Bartolomeo al Mare, Imperia. The club saw significant success across several categories:
- Recurve Senior Men: Marco Musto earned a bronze medal.
- Recurve Allievi Men: Kevin Giordana claimed the gold medal, while teammate Nicolò Parola secured the bronze.
- Barebow Senior Men: Alberto Giordana took home the silver medal.
- Barebow Master Men: Remo Sfondrini and Alberto Parola both finished in the middle of the standings.
Honors at the Peveragno Sport Awards
The weekend also included a formal recognition for the club’s commitment to the sport. On the evening of Saturday, September 26, the “3S-Sport, Serenità, Solidarietà” event was held at the “A la Sousta” multipurpose center as part of the Weekend of Sport Peveragno 2026. The ceremony honored local athletes who have achieved success at both national and international levels.
Aurora Maria Tosello received an official award during the proceedings, which was presented in the presence of her coach and club president, Gabriella Sasia, and the club’s founder, Francesco Galante. The award recognized Tosello’s dedication to training and competition, as well as the collective passion of the Arcieri dell’Elice group.
The club is scheduled to continue its competitive season in upcoming regional federation events, with official results to be published through regional archery governing body channels.
