The 1st Archery Company of Eclaron has resumed training with fourteen adult members as the club prepares to compete in upcoming indoor tournaments this October. Outdoor sessions began in mid-September at the local archery garden, while indoor practices take place at the Michel-Marin complex depending on weather conditions.
Outdoor Practice Precedes Indoor Season Transition
Club members gathered for an outdoor training session on Wednesday, September 23, under the supervision of Jean-Luc Chevillion. Five archers participated in the late-September workout as the club integrates new members ahead of the competitive calendar. Two new adult archers joined the roster, bringing the total registered adult membership to fourteen participants.
Training schedules shift between outdoor and indoor facilities depending on meteorological conditions through mid-October. Current weekly sessions run on Wednesdays from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM local time and Saturdays from 10:00 PM to 12:00 PM. Following the mid-October transition, the club moves entirely to the Michel-Marin complex for the winter season, holding two split sessions on Wednesdays from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, alongside Saturday sessions split from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
Competitive Goals for the 2026-2027 Calendar
Led by club president Jacky Soudant, the Eclaron organization targets strong performances across upcoming regional competitions. The indoor competitive season opens immediately in October, prompting the current training push to refine technique and equipment tuning. The club accommodates both recreational archers and dedicated competitors, with open registration available during regular training hours at the facility.
