District Secretary Sandip Kashyap announced the opening rounds, highlighting intense competition and strong youth participation as players battle for crucial ranking points in the local circuit.
Under-11 Division Standings
Anant Raj Sharma claimed the top spot in the Under-11 boys category, showcasing sharp control and tactical patience during the opening group fixtures. Yuvraj finished second, while Akshaj took third place in the same group. In the corresponding Under-11 girls division, Pariksha dominated the table to secure first place. Adhya followed in second, and Anya earned third place after a series of hard-fought matches.
Under-13 and Under-15 Category Highlights
Kavya emerged as a standout competitor by capturing titles in both the Under-13 and Under-15 girls divisions. In the Under-13 girls bracket, Kavya placed first, with Pariksha taking second and Tanvi finishing third. Kavya replicated her dominance in the Under-15 girls category, holding off Navya, who finished second, and Adhya, who took third.
Tournament Format and Coaching Leadership
Organizers structured the current district ranking tournament around a comprehensive league format rather than sudden-death knockouts. According to Sandip Kashyap, this round-robin approach ensures that every registered player gets maximum court time, allowing developing athletes to test various strategies and gain valuable competitive experience against multiple opponents. The event runs under the direct supervision of senior coach and senior vice president, alongside Coach Moon, with several association executives present at the venue to oversee matches and support the participants.
