Karim Bennani captured the men’s singles gold medal by overcoming Spain’s Alejo Sánchez Quílez in a three-set final (2-6, 6-3, 6-4), following a straight-sets semifinal win against Portugal’s Francisco Rocha (6-1, 6-4). In the women’s tournament, Yasmine Kabbaj earned the bronze medal by defeating Spain’s Maria Garcia Cid (6-3, 6-0), having previously reached the semifinals where she fell to Italy’s Noemi Basiletti in three sets (5-7, 6-3, 2-6).
