“The Premier League process has a long way to go yet and our belief and determination to prove the club’s innocence are as strong as they were at the beginning,” Al Mubarak stated. He added that strict legal confidentiality prevents the club from disclosing specific details that would otherwise illustrate the strength of its defense. “There are so many things I would love to share with you to help you understand why we are so confident in our position. However, the strict confidentiality of legal proceedings and our commitment to respecting it mean that I cannot do that at this time.”

Referencing the club’s historical stance, Al Mubarak pointed supporters back to the official response issued when the Premier League first unveiled the 115 charges in February 2023.
