The Kagawa Five Arrows professional basketball club has announced the launch of the “Igara Seat” initiative for the 2026-27 season, providing children and their families an opportunity to experience home games from courtside locations through a partnership with Ando Real Estate Co., Ltd.
Team player Takashi Igarashi championed the program to give young fans a closer view of professional basketball action. “I am grateful to be able to undertake this kind of initiative for children,” Igarashi said through the club’s announcement. “I hope they can taste the power and dynamism of basketball close to the court, come to love the sport even more, and help build the enthusiasm for basketball in Kagawa Prefecture together.”
Ticketing Details and Seat Allocation
The program covers 29 regular-season home games hosted by the Five Arrows, excluding the Matchday 8 fixture against the Tokyo United Basketball Club scheduled for Wednesday, November 4, 2026. Each selected application grants two tickets: one for a child aged junior high school or younger, accompanied by one guardian.
Seat configurations vary depending on the venue. For matches held at the Takamatsu City Gymnasium, Marugame Citizens Gymnasium, and Zentsuji Citizens Gymnasium, two seats will be set up directly adjacent to the away-side basket. For games hosted at Anabuki Arena Kagawa, the club will secure two 1F reserved seats, with ticket collection handled at the main ticket booth. Seat numbers cannot be chosen by applicants.
Application Windows and Selection Process
Applications must be submitted by two weeks prior to each respective matchday. Specific deadlines apply to early October fixtures: applications for matches on October 3 and 4 close on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at 23:59, while applications for October 10 and 11 close on Sunday, October 4, 2026, at 23:59. Submissions outside the designated windows are invalid.
The club selects participants via a random drawing. Only successful applicants will receive notification by email up to one week prior to the target match, except for the early October games, where notifications will be sent up to two days before tip-off. Kagawa Five Arrows officials noted that if multiple applications are submitted for the same game day, only the most recent entry will be processed.
