At 15 years, 7 months, and 14 days old, she surpassed another record previously established by López.

However, regulations currently restrict her participation in continental competition. Having watched Barcelona’s recent Champions League fixture against Paris FC from the stands due to age restrictions, Mayssa is ineligible to feature in European matches until January 16, 2027.

Football lineage also underpins the young forward’s development. Mayssa is the daughter of Nabil Baha, a former Moroccan striker and winner of the 2004 Africa Cup of Nations who played for Spanish clubs including Málaga, Racing Ferrol, Ponferradina, and Sabadell.

Residing currently at La Masia, Mayssa joined Barcelona two years ago and has steadily climbed through the youth ranks into Romeu’s first-team plans.
