Records show the Málaga-born teenager surpasses the previous youngest-scorer mark held by teammate Vicky López. López was 16 years, 5 months, and 27 days old when she scored against Levante Las Planas on January 25, 2023, since Barça became an official club section in 2002.

Football lineage also underpins the young forward’s development. Mayssa is the daughter of Nabil Baha, a former Moroccan striker and winner of the 2004 Africa Cup of Nations who played for Spanish clubs including Málaga, Racing Ferrol, Ponferradina, and Sabadell.
Residing currently at La Masia, Mayssa joined Barcelona two years ago and has steadily climbed through the youth ranks into Romeu’s first-team plans.
