SAP Pallacanestro Alghero enters the new regional Serie B women’s championship following a steady ascent through the regional youth ranks. According to event reports, the club’s youth academy has established itself as one of the standout programs in Italy, prioritizing technical training, educational values, and community inclusion. The senior roster combines the youthful energy of its developing prospects with experienced additions.
Institutional Support and Youth Inclusion
The presentation opened with institutional remarks from municipal assessor Enrico Daga and regional councilor Valdo Di Nolfo. Their presence underscored the community backing behind the club’s expansion into senior basketball. A notable element of the evening was the inclusion of athletes from the “Diritto a Canestro 4.0” social inclusion project, who joined the Under-19 and Under-17 players on stage to highlight the club’s commitment to social integration through sport.
