Inter has officially secured the most lucrative sleeve sponsorship deal in Serie A history, partnering with Spanish banking group BBVA in an agreement valued at approximately 8.5 million euros per season, according to financial reports and club disclosures.
The partnership, which was presented at the Nerazzurri headquarters following initial announcements, covers a broad spectrum of the club’s ecosystem, spanning the men’s first team, Inter Women, Inter U23, Inter U20, and Inter Legends, alongside serving as the main shirt sponsor for male and female youth teams from the Under-18 level downward, as reported by financial outlet Calcio e Finanza.
Financial Scale and Market Comparison
The agreement vaults Inter’s sleeve sponsorship value past previous benchmarks in Italian football. The new BBVA pact outpaces rival Serie A sleeve partnerships, such as Milan’s deal with MSC and Juventus’s agreement with WhiteBit—both valued at 5 million euros annually—as well as Napoli’s 4-million-euro arrangement with Dongfeng and Roma’s 3-million-euro partnership with Wizz Air.

On a European scale, Inter’s new sleeve agreement places the club alongside Bayern Munich, which collects 8 million euros annually from Allianz, and ahead of Atlético Madrid’s 7-million-euro deal with Kraken, as tracked by Gazzetta dello Sport. With this addition, Inter completes its primary Nike kit inventory alongside main shirt sponsor Betsson, which contributes 30 million euros per season, and back-of-shirt sponsor U-Power, valued at 5.5 million euros.

Inter Chief Revenue Officer Giorgio Ricci noted that the economic terms reflect the shared ambitions of both organizations rather than standard market baselines. «Il valore dell’accordo ne riflette la portata, tra due realtà importanti sia a livello di posizionamento sul mercato sia per ambizioni», Ricci stated, adding that the collaboration does not rely on past benchmarks.
Club President Giuseppe Marotta also highlighted the stature of the agreement during the official presentation. «Sono molto orgoglioso anche di questo e sono certo che insieme andremo lontano. Sognare non costa niente e speriamo di raccogliere qualcosa di bello», Marotta said.
Digital Strategy and Fan Engagement
Beyond traditional brand visibility on the pitch, the partnership centers heavily on digital integration and daily consumer touchpoints. Ricci explained that the collaboration stems from a shared characteristic between banking and football: maintaining continuous, daily relationships with clients and supporters.
According to club announcements, the initiative will introduce exclusive digital content, dedicated community events, and targeted experiences for supporters. BBVA is developing ticket-access programs for its clients, offering prize draws for seats in premium sections at San Siro. The strategy aims to embed financial transactions with emotional elements tied to club fandom, bridging digital banking services with matchday passion.
The club and the banking group also emphasized youth development as a core pillar. By branding the youth sector down to the Under-18 categories and supporting Inter Women, BBVA aims to align its brand positioning with future generations of athletes and supporters. «È una visione per il futuro, lavorando con ragazzi giovani», Ricci noted regarding the expansive youth integration.
