USA Basketball completed an undefeated group stage at the FIBA Women’s World Cup on Monday, routing Czechia 105-64 to secure the tournament’s number-one seed heading into the knockout stage.
Playing at the conclusion of group play, Caitlin Clark and Team USA finished with a 3-0 record in Group D. The Americans extended their winning streak in international play to 33 consecutive games, dominating from the opening tip to cap off a commanding preliminary round.
According to game statistics, Clark finished with nine points, shooting 3 of 8 from the field, including 1 of 6 from 3-point range, and 2 of 2 at the free-throw line. She also contributed seven assists and one rebound across 21 minutes and 54 seconds of playing time.
The Americans arrived at Monday’s matchup having already clinched the top spot in Group D and a quarterfinal berth following a narrow 55-52 victory over Italy on Sunday. With the group stage officially closed, the squad earned a multi-day rest before returning to action.

Head coach Kara Lawson utilized her bench extensively to manage minutes ahead of the knockout stage. Even with a margin exceeding 40 points in the final period, Lawson called a timeout late in the game to tighten defensive rotations, keeping the group sharp for upcoming knockout opponents.
