FOX Adds NFL Legend Raúl Allegre to its Broadcast Team for New Season

As the NFL prepares to launch its new season on September 9, 2026, FOX has announced a major addition to its broadcast team in Mexico, signing veteran placekicker and prominent sports broadcaster Raúl Allegre.

Allegre shared his enthusiasm for returning to the broadcast booth via a post on X, formerly Twitter, highlighting his upcoming partnership with colleague José Pablo Coello. The former NFL player noted that while he has known Coello for more than two decades, the upcoming campaign marks their first time working together on broadcasts.

“I am very grateful to Somos FOX for the opportunity to return to NFL broadcasts and to do so with José Pablo Coello, whom I have known for more than 24 years, but with whom I had never had the opportunity and the honor of working,” Allegre wrote on social media.

While the regular season kicks off on Wednesday, September 9, Allegre confirmed that his personal debut for the network’s coverage will take place a few days later. “We look forward to seeing you on Sunday, September 13 with a great cast of commentators and an excellent production,” he stated.

A Familiar Voice Returns to Mexican Broadcasts

Raúl Allegre brings decades of high-level football experience and broadcasting familiarity to the FOX lineup. Following his retirement from the gridiron, he transitioned seamlessly into sports media, becoming a recognized and respected analyst for Spanish-language NFL broadcasts across Latin America and the United States.

In his announcement, Allegre emphasized the established professional rapport he shares with Coello, noting their long-standing history in the industry.

Broadcast Schedule and Production Details

However, viewers tuning into FOX’s coverage in Mexico will see Allegre make his network debut during the subsequent slate of games on Sunday, September 13, 2026.
